BEACH TRIP ESSENTIALS

Updated: Jul 12, 2019

A little recap of my beach trip on Memorial Day weekend! Hi guys, it’s been a minute! I hope you all are enjoying your summer. Whether you’re on summer break or adulting this season, it’s always fun to buy a few items that will really get you in the spirit. If you’re like me and you’re trying to cut back on shopping (key word: TRYING), bringing back clothes from last summer can also be fun. Mixing the old with the new is key. I hope you enjoy my summer favorites below...

BEACH OUTFIT

Outfit details:

Matching set (top and skirt): Shein

When I saw this matching set on Shein’s website, I knew I had to buy it. It was too good of a deal to pass up. Nothing says summer like all white. I love the little tassels on the ends. This would be so cute to wear on any trip or staycation. It's currently $20 on shein.com.

Handbag: Monkees

(visit www.shopmonkees.com to find a store near you)

This handbag style is all the rage this summer. I’ve seen these circular satchels everywhere. I went to Tanger Outlets and saw some at Francesca’s for less than $30.

Sandals: Jack Rogers

Believe it or not, these are my first pair of Jack Rogers. I bought them last summer at a TJ Maxx in Fort Lauderdale. I love the tan and white accents on them. They’re comfortable, but not for long periods of walking.

Shades: Ray-Ban (Justin Classic)

I really needed a new pair of shades and I had to stick with my favorite brand. I wanted to try something other than their aviator style, which is my favorite. These shades are bigger, but still lightweight.

Nail color:

OPI “She’s a Bad Muffuletta!”

Friendly reminder to stay hydrated in this heat! There’s nothing more essential than water! It was over 90 degrees that day. After laying out in the sun for a while, I started to feel weak. The heat affects some people more than others (ahem, me). Drinking soda will not keep you hydrated, so make sure to take a water bottle - and sunscreen - with you!

MOVIE DATE: ALADDIN

We watched Aladdin the day after the premiere. Whether you’re simply an Aladdin fan or a Will Smith fan, I *one hundred percent* recommend it. My mom bought these shirts at a Disney store the day before. We were READY!

PS: my pants are from Zara. I bought these in New York (previous post). I figured it would be fitting to wear them since they look like Aladdin’s pants... I didn’t plan on it when I packed!

ROAD TRIP OUTFIT//SUMMER ATHLEISURE

Sporty Spice

excuse my sleepy face :)

Outfit details:

Sports bra & yoga pants set: Shein

I hardly ever buy workout clothes, but I couldn’t resist since this set came in my favorite color. I figured it would motivate to go to the gym more. Obviously, it’s not the best quality for gym clothes, but the yoga pants are soft and stretchy. The sports bra also offers a good amount of support. Side note: I paired it with a white t-shirt (not pictured).

Sandals: Tory Burch

You guys already know... these are my fave. I’m bringing them back this summer, of course.

Scruffy-faced Ollie was ready to hit the road!

I hope you guys enjoyed this summer inspired blogpost! If you want more summer outfits or bathing suit tips, feel free to DM me some blog ideas! I would love to do one just on beachwear or maybe a ‘4th of July’ look. Let me know!

Xo,

Raquel
