CHARMING CHARLESTON

Updated: Feb 7, 2019

Charleston is the perfect place for a weekend getaway. My friends and I planned this trip for about a month, and it went even better than expected. We explored downtown Charleston Friday night. Then, Saturday was our main 'photo op' day. Our top destination was Rainbow Row (pictured below).

What I wore:

Shirt: TJ Maxx

Skirt: Forever 21

This print is insanely popular this fall and you can find just about anything in this print. I opted to buy a high waisted skirt in this print because skirts are my fave.

Boots & hat: Forever 21

Shout out to Dilia for letting me borrow her booties to complete this look!

The Pink House

French Huguenot Church

Dilia was working her magic on my iPhone! lol

Fall vibes ~ even though it still felt like summertime

Inside the Pirates Courtyard

Pretty much every house we saw near Rainbow Row was adorable.

I wanted to get a picture closer to the church, but there was a legit photo shoot going on for a bride. We saw about 5 couples doing their wedding photo shoots that afternoon! Love was in the air that day.

RESTAURANTS

HENRIETTA'S AT THE DEWBERRY

My friends and I had brunch at Henrietta's. I had the best grits ever - I didn't even think grits could be so flavorful. And, of course, we couldn't forget the mimosas.

This was kind of a farewell trip for Dilia (pictured below), who has lived in SC for 4+ years. She's in the Marines and will be moving to another base soon. So, we wanted to make sure we did all the touristy things we could possibly do beforehand. We also went to Savannah, Georgia that night, which was just the cherry on top of our girls' weekend!

That's all folks!

Special thanks to Dilia & Lyanne for being impromptu photographers! You guys are the best!
