A quick summary of my tour of Kotor, Montenegro.

This was day 11 of the cruise and Montenegro was the second to last stop. Montenegro is a small Balkan country surrounded by enormous mountains. When I arrived, it was raining and very foggy. I only had a few hours to explore the city. Eventually, the sun came out and I was able to get a few shots for this post! (Yay!)

Once the rain settled, I explored Kotor's Old Town, which is surrounded by a Venetian fortress. The Cathedral of Saint Tryphon is located within the Old Town (pictured below).

A must-see place is the “Our Lady of the Rocks” church, which is located on a tiny island. Fortunately, the cruise ship passed by the church and I didn’t have to pay for a separate lake cruise. The island was supposedly made by sailors. They threw rocks into the sea when they returned from their voyages. It is still customary to throw rocks towards the island when you visit.

What I wore:

Romper: TJ Maxx (brand: Crystal Sky)

I love this romper because it can be casual or dressy, depending on how you style it. I also wore it when I went to Miami back in March.

Handbag: Rebecca Minkoff

Kotor is a great place to go for a day trip. It wasn't crowded by tourists and gave off a mysterious vibe. Balkan cities like Kotor and Dubrovnik (Croatia) are pretty 'trendy' at the moment. Kotor is perfect for someone who loves nature and tranquility.
